MV Agusta is back!

This famous name was far to big to be left out in the cold for long, and the Castiglioni brothers, who bought the name in 1991 have finally announced that Cagiva will commence production of the new 750/4. Named the MV F4. It was unveiled to the public at the 1998 Milan Show.
The first production run will be for the 'Serie Oro' model (Gold Series). Price has been set at UKp25,000, which is somewhat academic as the limited production of 300 have long since been sold in advance. The factory are reported to be hand building them at the rate of 3 per day. World Superbike is clearly that aim of this hand built run.
Full scale production of the Strada was due to start this Autumn (1999) and likely to rise to 2000 bikes for the year. This means that for the mortals within our society the production model will be (almost;-) affordable at about UKp12k or so. Three Cross Motorcycles of Wimbourne, Dorset are the UK importers so if you want to put your name down for one give Keith Davies a ring and tell him that Bob Williams sent you :-)
