How we use Writing with Symbols in all areas including its use in conjunction with email
To construct a symbol version of any email save the email as a simple text document then load it into Writing with Symbols which will construct a symbolic version (remember to edit the symbol to word matching as needed).
This can be printed and spoken by the computer from Writing with Symbols.
Conversely the pupils write their email using Writing with Symbols. Save the document as a text file and load it into an email program.
Writing with Symbols 2000 has recently been released by Widgit. This offers many advantages over the standard version of Writing with Symbols.
Notably you can copy the text onto the clipboard (highlight the text in your email and press CTRL C) then paste it into Symbols 2000 (CTRL V). Symbols 2000 will create a symbolic version according to its vocabulary matching rules.
