Changing between graphic formats

Graphic software such as PaintShop Pro will read all the graphic types and will convert between all the common types of pictures (gifs, bitmaps and jpegs). Transfering between line drawing and photographic formats (windows metafiles to and from bitmaps/jpegs) is much more difficult -although possible.
Jpegs and Window meta files are the most useful picture formats.
Taking pictures using a digital camera you have to save the image as a Jpeg or Bitmap before you can load it into PaintShop Pro. In PaintShop pro the image can be altered: resized, brightened or darkened, turned around, flipped, and distorted.
There are other graphic manipulation programs that allow you to distort the images in specific ways.
