File organisation

NewsStrip is spread across two directories so as to comply with the Vixen standards.

The following diagrams show where all the files fit in - just in case an installation goes wrong and you need to recover by hand.

Certain of the files are clickable - so you may see what their contents should (ideally) be.

This first directory is in !Voyager.VIX.

It is here that the majority of !NewsStrip 3's files are kept (including the user-editable files Authors and Words). This will have been automatically installed when the !NewsStrip installation utility was run.

By the way, this is where you find the infamous Diag file and also where newer versions of the executable (!NewsStrip) should be dragged if I ever send you new ones.

This next directory is in !Voyager.Apps.

This is firmly in Argo's domain - but the !NewsStrip installation utility, when run, will have modified the file !Vixen and installed !Run_ns.

If ever !NewsAgent's installation goes horribly wrong you may delete !Vixen and rename !VixenOld to !Vixen and all will be Argo-flavoured once more.

This last directory is in !Voyager.Apps.News.

For those of you who had previous versions of !NewsStrip installed - this is what the !NewsAgent directory should look like with !NewsStrip 3 installed - i.e. just as Argo first created it!
