Interactive whiteboards represent 'now' technology. There are many sources of commercial and marketing information about them but case studies, lesson ideas and research are only just starting to emerge.

Remember that your whiteboard will have been supplied with a set of manuals to cover things such as installation and set-up, calibration and use of the software. These are often available in a printable format on the CD ROM supplied with the board - useful if you want extra copies.

• Mimio. The inexpensive, portable alternative to a 'fully featured' interactive whiteboard. The education area of their website includes examples of how teachers have used Mimio successfully.
