PriorITas can conduct an audit of the ICT provision in your school, which could be useful prior to OfSTED Inspection or simply when you feel it is the appropriate time.
This audit will take the following form:
A questionnaire will be sent to the school in advance for the designated ICT Co-ordinator to fill in. This is a mutually beneficial exercise as it helps focus the school's attention on the prevailing issues and it helps us to get a clear picture of your situation before our visit.
Up to one day will be spent on site, depending upon the size of school, during which we will visit every classroom. Classroom visits will be to identify the hardware and software situation and to analyse staff concerns, and will not be inspectorial in nature.
A meeting with the ICT co-ordinator will take place at a mutually convenient time during the visit. If the co-ordinator can be released for a substantial part of the visit, this will be enormously helpful to the process.
During the meeting we shall discuss hardware and software issues, and also how teachers plan, organise and teach ICT within their classes.
A written report will be delivered to the school within three weeks of the visit. This will highlight areas of strength and weakness, both in terms of resources and teaching and learning, and will suggest points for action which might be considered in the short, medium or long term.
