The DVG consists of four Partners - Richard Grose, David Vawer, Alan Vinnicombe, and Paul Tucker - who are supported by nine full time assistants, as well as part time and locum help, and more than forty lay staff. They work at three major centres - in Chichester, Bognor Regis and Emsworth, and two smaller branch surgeries in Havant and Barnham.
The Surgeries
- This section of our pages describes the individual premises which make up the Downland Veterinary Group. The branches each have their own individual characteristics. They also have their own specialities. Take a look at what we can offer. You can even take a behind the scenes tour of our larger facilities.
The Locations
- This section gives maps and the necessary details which you will need if you want to visit us. Many of our patients are refered to us by veterinary surgeons for procedures and facilities which are not available in their own practices. These location maps may help to avoid your getting lost if your pet is one of them.
The History
- We are very proud of the long service which we have provided to the communities which we serve. We have been providing veterinary care in Hampshire and West Sussex for more than 54 years.
During the whole of this time we have always been able to pride ourselves with being at the forefront of development in veterinary care. There is a big difference between being long established and being old fashioned.
This small article, however does describe our origins and the roots of the practice as it exists today
Clinical Matters
- One of our prime aims has always been to try to help our clients to understand how their pets become ill and why. We can then help them to hopefully forsee problems and prevent unnecessary pain and suffering for their pet, and often unnecessary costs to them too.
Our clinical section therefore is arranged to provide accurate and reliable information about a number of problems which our pets are subject to. Individual articles cover Vaccination, Infectious Diseases, Parasitic problems, and Surgical problems.
Our section on Modern Anaesthetic procedures has proved very popular.
