One of Ray Sheepwash's last acts as Chairman of ILOC was to award 'Caustic' Chris (from the Laverda maillist) with the Bent Conrod Award for 2001. Chris got the name from his exploits when trying out the revolutionary process of 'cleaning' a triple's cylinder head in a caustic solution. Not much survived. It would have brought tears to a grown man :-((
- strangely the audience fell apart laughing ;-o
