No Fooling New Valve Box Locator
The new IMP® Box Locator from Protovale can reliably locate lost water stop tap and valve boxes and inspection covers without being fooled by metallic litter.  Incorporating Protovale’s unique metal detection technology the unit can locate boxes to a depth of 50cm, even when near parked cars, wire fences and metal building.  Unnecessary digging due to ‘false finds’ from litter such as ring pulls and metallised cartons and cigarette packets is totally eliminated.

Based on the original IMP Box Locator, used by water and utility companies throughout the world, the new unit has been ergonomically redesigned and strengthened.  The new IMP® Box Locator is weatherproofed to IP54 and built to withstand years of use in the toughest of environments.  Powered by 4 AA batteries, the unit is simple to operate with just one control knob and a dual purpose ultra-bright LED.  Metal location is indicated via the LED and an audio signal from a built-in weatherproof loudspeaker.
