SCHOOLS' FOOTBALL - Inter-District Match
Played at Douglas Eyre 9th November 2002
HACKNEY UNDER 11'S 5, BERMONDSEY & ROTHERHITHE 2
This was a game of 'firsts' for Hackney's youngsters. They won their first match of the season, OKUNU OLUGU hit his first-ever hat-trick and GREG MOORSE-MACDOUGALL AND DAVID FALLAH recorded their first goals for the district.
The Dalston-based Olugu set the pace when he headed home Fallah's penetrating corner before adding a second after Bermondsey had deservedly equalised.
Hackney then left their south London visitors reeling with a breathtaking display of passing football. A four-man move ended with Fallah's crisp drive into the net before Olugu completed his hat-trick when he expertly rounded the 'keeper to score with ease.
Bermondsey broke away to score a second but their goalkeeper was still the busiest player on the field and made several outstanding saves before Moorse-MacDougall drove home from eighteen yards to complete Hackney's joy.
